#31dc2013 day 4

GREEN! felt way to rushed to do anything creative :(  I did attempt a hop design but it didn't pan out. 

Boo. Will have to re visit this prompt later on. Also another day behind, stupid job interview today- didn't think green or blue nails would be very professional.. So will be doing blue and purple tomorrow and get all caught up for the weekend.

Green Polish

Working on my day 4 design for the #31dc2013 had to just share the crazy amounts of green nail polishes I have. 

This is becoming a very eye opening experience as I go thru my bottles and see exactly what I have for each challenge. Woah. 

That is about 32 shades of green. 

So very unnecessary. Yet totally awesome!!! ;) lol. Also this probably isn't even all of them seeing as how there's bottles everywhere in my life- purses, the car, other people's houses, the couch cushions, etc. well gotta get to using some of these now.... 

#31dc2013 day 3

Yellow!!!

Normally I would be happy to do something with yellow- but I felt rushed and uninspired... After searching thru all the hashtags on IG, I still couldn't come up with anything. A lot of people did bees- which is cute but I don't like bees, I'm allergic and I really don't care for honey, so I didn't even try that. 

I attempted polka dots, stripes, gradients, flowers- pretty much everything- couldn't stick with anything, as 12:30am rolled around I finally just said screw it more cheetah print!! :)

I promise to not do cheetahs on the animal print day!  So yeah here they are 

I have a ridiculous amount of yellow nail polish btw, I'll upload a picture later.

This first week of color challenges is if nothing else giving me a chance to sort thru and organize my polish by colors- they haven't been organized or stored properly in ages! So that's good! 

For the green day (which is today) I'm really hoping to do something very original- something I haven't seen a million times. I hope to make up a hop design :) When thinking about this I came across this awesome website!! Two of my favorite things!

31DC2013 Day 2

Day 2 orange!

I have so many orange nailpolishes its crazy! Like many of my bottles, I rarely ever use them so this challenge is a great chance to bust out the old and neglected... Here's a few that I played with today, followed by the nails I finally painted. 

Notice how I have two of all of them- that's craaaazzzy!! :) 

Here's what I came up with~

Colors used: 

Thumb: Sinful Colors "Summer Peach"

Pointer: Sally Hansen's Fuzzy Coat "Peach Fuzz"

Middle: O.P.I "Ya'll come back ya hear?"

Ring: two unnamed colors from Claire's. and Sinful Color's "Summer Peach" all topped with Revlon's "Gold Coast". (A shear glittery orange) 

Pinky: Wet n Wilds "Sunny Side Up" mixed with NYC "Taxi Yellow Creme" topped with an unnamed chunky glitter. 

All topped with Nutra Nail Speed Dry Top Coat.

#31dc2013 Day 1.

Day One: Red! 

Ok so I'm not usually a big fan of red, but  I apparently own about 6+ shades of red including 2 shades by O.P.I. (Don't have many in my collection). They must have been gifted to me, I can somehow justify buying eight $1.00 bottles but not usually  one $8.00 

 

The shade I chose is called "Red Lights Ahead...Where?" 

I couldn't decide on one particular look so I did a mismatch of different red designs. 

Terrible lighting- will retake some photos tomorrow before trying orange. 

If I have extra time I may even retry this I really like the pinky finger- would look cool on all 10!  Yay day one✔

31 day challenge 2013!

Ok here we go, finally going to try!

I'm excited to give it a serious try!

I'm most afraid of the galaxy and water marble dates. I have never produced  a good water marble, but have tried many times- such a messy hassle. I've never really cared much for the galaxy look so that might not be as fun. Either way I hope I make it through, and glad to be pretty much starting along with a bunch of other amazing blogs! Maybe I'll even gain a follower hahahahaa!
